Tucked beside ancient woodland in rural Essex, this charming cabin offers a quirky and cosy British escape. Inside, classic pieces like a Chesterfield sofa, oak dining table, and a fairytale-style four-poster bed blend with eclectic touches such as animal portraits, an antler chandelier, and a working antique gramophone. A copper roll-top bathtub beside the bed adds a luxurious flourish. Outside, guests can relax in the hot tub, unwind in egg chairs by the fire pit, and listen to wildlife from the nearby forest—sometimes even hearing lions from nearby Colchester Zoo, just ten minutes away. The area also boasts Abberton Reservoir for birdwatching and the village of Layer de la Haye, a short walk away with welcoming pubs and a farm shop.
