Sky Den, Hexham
“Beautiful location, with excellent scenery and views. Looking to book it again for summer next year.”
Sky Den is a one-of-a-kind treehouse featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, offering a memorable glamping experience for up to four guests. Designed by architect and TV presenter George Clarke with designer William Hardie, the innovative structure combines clever design with stunning views of Europe’s largest working forest and some of the UK’s darkest skies. The compact living area includes fold-down furniture that transforms the space into a dining area or sleeping space, along with a small, well-equipped kitchen and balcony. A separate outdoor seating area sits above a flowing stream with a wood-burning stove, while the upper sleeping platform—accessed via external stairs—features an opening roof for incredible stargazing. With a nearby wet room and thoughtful amenities provided, Sky Den offers a unique and creative stay surrounded by nature.
