Despite the rain, the yurt’s layout prevented a feeling of confinement. Outside, there’s ample space and direct pond access, though we had to dodge some dog droppings. The large private hot tub was a highlight. The well-equipped kitchen, clean shower, and toilet were great. Nearby village amenities included a store, takeaway, and pub. The old smithy offers fun lessons and has a shop with essentials. Highly recommend!”

The hut we had was well equipped with utensils, a good-sized shower, and a very comfy bed. It is also beautifully furnished. We also used the fire pit to cook our breakfast in the morning. I loved the little extras including the fire wood, hot chocolate maker, marshmallows, and flapjacks. Nearby Tavistock is a delightful little town and close to Dartmoor. I would definitely recommend Blatchford Briar for a couple’s getaway.”
