The large private hot tub was a highlight. The well-equipped kitchen, clean shower, and toilet were great. Nearby village amenities included a store, takeaway, and pub. The old smithy offers fun lessons and has a shop with essentials. Highly recommend!”

Robin, the host had kindly left milk, coffee, tea and sugar and there was a vase of beautiful fresh flowers. He was around if needed but left us alone to get on with our holiday, His dog, Fred is super friendly and came to see us regularly. There is an outside decking area to sit and enjoy food and drink when you get back from your travels. There is everything you need at the property.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blatchford Brair; the setting is so wonderfully peaceful and tranquil. The views across the fields are absolutely stunning. The hut we had was well equipped with utensils, a good-sized shower, and a very comfy bed. It is also beautifully furnished. We also used the fire pit to cook our breakfast in the morning. I loved the little extras including the fire wood, hot chocolate maker, marshmallows, and flapjacks. Nearby Tavistock is a delightful little town and close to Dartmoor. I would definitely recommend Blatchford Briar for a couple’s getaway.”
